Stig Cooper

There are plenty of photographers out there in gallery land, but few who know their subject as intimately as Stig Cooper. Living in rural Tasmania, his whole life has been about creating beautiful things and now he brings his focus to the two dimensionality of the camera. His aesthetic talent plays out in his ability to morph light and colour whilst maintaining a certain reality within his beloved landscape and the elements that inhabit it. Ultimately, Stig has succeeded in creating highly evocative and whimsical imagery. We the viewer do not only see what he sees but through his images we feel the very moment too – this is the essence of visual art and the alchemist's touch that every artist strives for. These photographs for UpRaw are archivally printed on Hahnemühle paper with a small edition size strictly adhered to.
