Justin Feuerring

One of Sydney’s best known and loved street artists as a merciless user of mass media, Justin’s work has been documented widely. Transcending traditional street painting, his works are now regarded as performance pieces watched worldwide. Feuerring regularly risks life and law in his relentless pursuit of creating images in very public places. Make no mistake this is an artist who has spent a serious amount of time plying his craft in the half-light of the street lamp. The works UpRaw has selected have the street cred with a little more polish that studio time allows. You may recognise his work from the OUTPOST project which gained world "street art" attention in late 2011, Contempo's 2010 Twisted Tales event at the Art Gallery of NSW or at one of his numerous solo shows over recent years. Owing an aesthetic debt to the late great American street artist Keith Herring, Feuerring has developed a decidedly original Antipodean style to his work.
